Locals and visitors alike can enjoy a unique motor skills park that encourages people of all ages to exercise and socialize. In addition to the motor skills park, the park also features a climbing tower (fee required) and a soccer field. Whether toddlers, adults, or seniors—the park offers a wide range of opportunities to train motor skills and be active together.
Motor Skills Park – A place for exercise and socializing
With this project, the municipality of Rußbach is sending a strong message against physical inactivity. The concept promotes health through targeted exercise programs, a sense of community through the coming together of different age groups, and integration and inclusion through low-threshold activities for everyone. The Motor Skills Park is made from natural materials such as wood, stone, and steel components, with wood chips serving as fall protection. The sports science concept was developed by Dr. Roland Werthner, the internationally recognized inventor of the Motor Skills Park®. His equipment and stations, designed specifically for Russbach, are in line with the latest sports science findings.
Climbing tower – between height and challenge
The climbing tower combines the experience of nature with sporting challenges in a unique way. The tower offers three top rope belay devices, which are ideal for safe climbing even without a partner – perfect for beginners or for training. Around 24 climbing routes of varying degrees of difficulty invite both beginners and experienced climbers to try their hand. The Russbach climbing tower offers climbing fun for all ages and ability levels.
